Eurosport Events, a division of pan-European broadcaster Eurosport, has extended a worldwide rights deal for the World Touring Car Championship motor-racing series for five years, from 2013 to 2017.
Under the deal with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, motor-racing’s world governing body, Eurosport Events has secured media rights for all races, and will also organise, promote and market the championship. The agreement extends Eurosport Events’ existing deal to promote the championship.
Eurosport’s television channels will show coverage of the series, with Eurosport Events responsible for distributing rights to other broadcasters.
