Pan-regional sports broadcaster Eurosport has acquired rights for the Motocross World Championship and Motocross of Nations national motorcycle events.
The three-year deal with series promoter Youthstream will run from 2014 through to 2016.
The agreement includes the 54 European countries where Eurosport is available as well as 16 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The events, which are sanctioned by the FIM, motorcycle racing’s governing body, will be broadcast on a live or delayed basis on the Eurosport and Eurosport 2 channels.
The broadcaster will also show a highlights programme, produced by Youthstream, every Tuesday following a Sunday Grand Prix.
The 2014 FIM Motocross World Championship will run from March 1 until September 14. The FIM Motocross of Nations will take place in Latvia on September 28.
