The British Cycling national governing body has agreed a deal for pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport to become the broadcast partner of its Revolution Series elite track cycling league for the remainder of the 2015-16 season.
Under the agreement, Eurosport will broadcast live coverage of the Revolution Series on its various television platforms.
The 2015-16 series provides preparation and International Cycling Union (UCI) qualification points for cyclists ahead of the next year’s summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Coverage will begin with an event in Manchester on October 24 on Eurosport 1. November events in London and Glasgow will both be broadcast on Eurosport 2, while two Manchester events in January will be broadcast on Eurosport 1.
James Pope, chief executive of FACE Partnership, organiser of the Revolution Series, said: “We are very excited to be able to provide live coverage of Revolution for the first time. We've managed to build an audience of almost a million viewers last season so the new partnership with Eurosport will help us grow this significantly and reach more fans than ever before in the UK and internationally.”
