Whisper, the live sports production company, has been appointed as the host broadcaster of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, SportBusiness understands.
The appointment of the London-based company comes 11 months after organisers of the tournament, which will take place across England, issued an invitation to tender for the host broadcast contract.
