Fight Sports lands Verizon partnership

Media company CSI Sports, the owner of Fight Sports, has struck a carriage deal for the pay-television channel with US telecommunications company Verizon.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Fight Sports will be offered on Verizon’s free, mobile-first, social entertainment platform go90.

Go90 users will be provided with live and on-demand programming covering championship boxing, kickboxing, martial arts, mixed martial arts, news, reality, documentary and original fight-related content.

Fight Sports’ original programming, such as Knockouts and Wide World of Fights, includes highlights from bouts featuring the likes of Floyd Mayweather (pictured), Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao. Additionally, fight fans will be able to watch some of the highest grossing US pay-per-view boxing events in history via the Mega Fights on-demand service.
