Fox Networks Group will lose two senior sports rights executives as Simon Thomas and Andrew Guy are set to leave the global channel syndicator, TV Sports Markets understands.
Thomas joined as FNG’s executive vice-president of global sport and content sales in December 2013, while Guy was appointed senior vice-president of global sport in July 2014. It is understood the pair may intend to set up an independent sports rights agency.
Both are senior figures in the industry. Thomas is the former chief executive of the Team Marketing agency, while Guy held senior roles at both Team and the CAA Eleven agency.
FNG was known as Fox International Channels until January, when the company was restructured and then-chief executive Hernan Lopez departed.
