The Formula E electric car-racing championship has agreed a one-season extension to its partnership with social video production company Grabyo.
Having partnered with Formula E for its inaugural 2014-15 season, Grabyo will again enable the championship to provide behind the scenes footage and produce in-race highlights of its 2015-16 campaign for distribution to social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
In Formula E’s debut season, Grabyo’s app – Grabyo VIP – was used by the championship as well as the teams and drivers to create, edit and share behind the scenes content.
Ali Russell, director of media and strategic partnerships at Formula E, said: “As a championship we want to continue our pioneering work to be at the forefront of digital content in motorsport. Maximising our world-class driver line-up, Grabyo VIP allows us to create a social video ecosystem that powers engagement across all of our digital platforms.”
The 2015-16 Formula E season gets underway with the Chinese ePrix in Beijing on October 24.
