Fox Sports 1, the new national pay-television sports channel that will be launched by US network Fox on August 17, will look for advertising agency partners from later this year, according to Fox Sports Media Group head of marketing Robert Gottlieb.
Gottlieb told the Adage website that Fox Sports 1 had not decided whether to launch a formal review of agencies or work on an ad-hoc basis.
“We're going to try to take advantage of all the attention that's already there to refocus on Fox Sports 1 and do another push,” Gottlieb said. “There's definitely (a) big creative that we'll be unveiling… so in the next couple of months, we probably want to start engaging on that stuff.”
Gottlieb added that existing partner, the Pereira & O'Dell agency, would “definitely be part of that conversation as well”.
