Pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports Latin America has further enhanced its portfolio of clubs from Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican club football, by agreeing a five-year rights deal with Club Rayados Monterrey.
The agreement comes into effect from July and comprises exclusive multi-platform global broadcasting rights to Monterrey home matches. The contract includes 10 seasons of the Apertura and Clausura tournaments and will run through to the 2023 Clausura tournament.
Under the agreement, Fox Sports will broadcast live and exclusive in Mexico and Latin America all home matches played by Monterrey in the Liga MX, as well as the Copa MX and friendly games, across linear and digital platforms. In addition, in the US, fans will be able to watch matches live on Fox Deportes in Spanish and on all channels and digital platforms of Fox Sports in English.
The new deal bolsters Fox Sports’ ‘FS FMX’ franchise, that in addition to Monterrey includes León, Pachuca, Xolos and Santos from the Liga MX.
Fox Sports will produce special programs before and after every match. Games will also be available on the Fox Sports app.
