Pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports Asia has renewed an agreement for rights to the Australian Open grand slam tennis tournament.
Fox’s new four-year deal with the Tennis Australia governing body covers the 2018 to 2021 editions of the event.
The deal grants Fox television, OTT and digital rights for the tournament in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar and Papua New Guinea.
The deal also includes tournaments in the Australian Open Series – Apia International Sydney, Brisbane International, the Hopman Cup and the World Tennis Challenge – along with the Laver Cup.
The 2018 Australian Open runs from January 15-28 in Melbourne.
