The Elite Ice Hockey League, the sport’s top division in the UK, has sealed a rights deal with domestic free-to-air television channel FreeSports.
The deal will cover two seasons, from 2018-19 to 2019-20.
Under the agreement, FreeSports will show live coverage of one game every two weeks, as well as highlights and preview programmes.
FreeSports already shows coverage of CHL, NHL, KHL, SHL and IIHF ice hockey events.
Last week FreeSports added Virgin TV to its list of carriage partners, which already included Freeview, Sky, FreeSat, TalkTalk, BT Vision and online via TVPlayer.
