French horse racing rights-holders France Galop and LeTrot have opted against renewing rights deals with public-service broadcaster France Télévisions and digital-terrestrial-television channel L’Équipe 21.
The rights deals with both broadcasters expired on December 31, 2015.
France Galop and LeTrot said they were in advanced negotiations to seal a new deal with a “public channel,” with the new rights-holder set to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Regular coverage had been shown on France Télévisions’ France 3 channel.
