US over-the-top streaming service fuboTV has acquired rights to the Primeira Liga, the top division of club football in Portugal.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the World Soccer Talk website said it will commence with the second round of games from the 2016-17 season.
The Primeira Liga’s new campaign opened at the weekend, with pay-television broadcaster Univision Deportes broadcasting FC Porto’s 3-1 win at Rio Ave on Friday.
FuboTV will now hold rights to all Primeira Liga games with Univision Deportes, which is available through the platform, reportedly set to broadcast a handful of games per month.
Primeira Liga games will be available through fuboTV’s Primeira Package, priced at $19.99 (€18) per month. The package includes beIN Sports, beIN Sports en Español, Benfica TV, RTP Internacional, all Primeira Liga matches, The Football Report show and the fuboTV Network.
