European Tour Productions, the television arm of golf’s European Tour, has entered into an online clip rights agreement with photographic agency Getty Images.
Under the deal, Getty has acquired the rights to sell agreed video highlights and other clip packages to its media partners worldwide.
Video content will be available from the European Tour, the European Senior Tour, the European Challenge Tour and the Ryder Cup.
The clips deal is part of a broader four-year agreement, running from 2015 to 2018, under which Getty will also retain its role as the official photographer of each event across the European Tour group and provide global coverage via its online image library.
The deal will also include unlimited rights to use image content on the Tour’s digital platforms and related social media channels under the Tour’s control.
