Brazilian media company Globo has been awarded exclusive rights for the Uefa Euro 2020 international football tournament.
The deal was first reported by TV Sports Markets on July 7.
Coverage of the tournament, which is taking place in multiple cities across Europe, will be shown on free-to-air TV Globo, with rights also sublicensed on to Globosat’s pay-television broadcaster, SporTV.
The GloboEsporte.com website will also provide coverage, including video on demand, exclusive material and real-time information.
Globo has provided coverage of the tournament since the 2012 edition in Poland and Ukraine. SporTV has broadcast the competition since the 1992 event in Sweden.
