Perform-owned online football platform Goal has struck a partnership with Twitter for streaming of Uefa Champions League games in Asian markets on the social media service.
The agreement, which includes live coverage in Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Laos, will take in four Round of 16 games, commencing with the clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund tomorrow (Wednesday).
The four games will be available for free to logged-in and logged-out users via Goal’s Thai Twitter account @Goal_TH.
Twitter will be the exclusive social media stream platform for the games, which also include Liverpool v Bayern Munich (February 19), Paris Saint-Germain v Manchester United (March 6) and Manchester City v Schalke 04 (March 12).
Highlights of all Round of 16 games will be made available to Twitter users in Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. Live and on-demand coverage of all the matches will also be streamed on the Goal website in the region.
