US pay-television channel GolTV has acquired exclusive rights in the country for Italian club football competition, the Supercoppa Italiana.
GolTV will broadcast live coverage of this year’s Supercoppa, which takes place tomorrow (Friday) at the Jassim Bin Hamad stadium in Doha, Qatar.
The game, which kicks off at 11:30am EST, pits Juventus against AC Milan.
The Supercoppa is traditionally contested by the winner of the previous season’s Serie A league championship and the Coppa Italia knockout competition.
With Juventus being the defending Serie A and Coppa Italia champion, AC Milan has qualified for the match having been defeated by the Turin-based club in the final of last year’s Coppa Italia.
Juventus claimed last year’s Supercoppa Italiana with a 2-0 win over Lazio. The game was played at Shanghai Stadium in China.
GolTV will begin broadcasting this year’s Coppa Italia in January.
