The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) will stream live coverage of the inaugural World Relays event in the Bahamas this weekend.
The IAAF said that, for the first time, it would stream live coverage of one of its events via the Eurovision online service, operated by the production division of the European Broadcasting Union consortium of public-service broadcasters.
The Eurovision Sports Live application will also show live coverage of the event on Android and Apple iOS devices, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
The IAAF added that it will work with the Dentsu agency, the association’s commercial partner, to stream live coverage via the official IAAF channel on video-sharing website YouTube.
The YouTube coverage will be available in Afghanistan, American Samoa, Angola, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Ascension Island, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Benin, Bermuda, Bhutan, Bolivia, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Canada, Cape Verde, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, Chile, Christmas Island, Cocos Islands, Colombia, Comoros, Congo – Brazzaville, Congo, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guatemala and Guinea.
