The IMG agency has today (Friday) launched Boomeo, a web-based esports platform.
Boomeo will feature premium gaming content and exclusive educational tutorials from top esports teams and professionals.
Five professional esports organisations – Cloud9, compLexity, Counter Logic Gaming, G2 Esports and SK Gaming – have partnered with Boomeo to provide exclusive Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) content for the platform.
Professional players and influencers including Spencer ‘Hiko’ Martin, Eric ‘Adren’ Hoag and Duncan ‘Thorin’ Shields have also teamed up with the platform.
Boomeo users can log in to the platform and be automatically placed into CS:GO training modules. Some of these modules already existed, with Boomeo having also introduced some of its own, including ‘Duels’.
“The launch of Boomeo speaks to our continued investment in the esports industry and our focus on delivering premium and accessible content to consumers,” Karen Brodkin, president of business affairs at IMG, said.
“Boomeo is ahead of the curve with its innovative training functionality, and we are excited to develop the platform as a go-to for serious gamers and those looking for an easy entry point to esports.”
IMG holds an existing partnership with the ELeague esports organisation.
