Infantino threatens ‘big five’ blackout if Women’s World Cup bids not raised

Fifa president Gianni Infantino has once again called on broadcasters in the ‘big five’ European markets to increase their offers for media rights to the 2023 Women’s World Cup, describing their current bids as a “slap in the face” of “all women worldwide” and threatening to impose a blackout across the territories unless its valuations are met.
