Infront distributes IBSF World Cup broadcast rights in 60-plus territories

The Infront agency has reached agreements with broadcasters across more than 60 territories for the 2019-20 season of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation’s (IBSF) World Cup, which gets underway in Lake Placid, USA on Saturday.

Infront serves as the exclusive media and marketing partner of the IBSF and the two parties’ current deal will run until the end of the 2021-22 season. Infront has worked with the IBSF for over 17 years.

For the forthcoming IBSF World Cup season, Infront has secured broadcast coverage for each stage of the season and will also stream races live on video-sharing platform YouTube in certain territories. As a result, every race will be available live worldwide.

The IBSF’s published list of rights-holding broadcasters can be found here.

Infront will also assume responsibility for the host broadcast and television production, with a 30-camera setup for all eight World Cup stops, as well as the IBSF World Championships, which will be held in Altenberg, Germany from February 17 to March 1, 2020.

In addition, Infront has oversight of the official IBSF website and the YouTube streaming, which is geo-blocked in certain markets.

German automotive manufacturer BMW is the title sponsor of the IBSF World Cup and World Championships through a wide-ranging winter sports partnership it holds with Infront.
