The Board of Control for Cricket in India, the sport's governing body in the country, has announced that its invitation to tender for media rights to the Indian Premier League for the 2023-27 cycle will be released next month.
A statement on the BCCI website from Jay Shah, the board's Honorary Secretary, said that the IPL Governing Council had decided to release the tender "immediately after the appointment of two new IPL teams which is scheduled to be announced on 25th October 2021".
