Two IPL domestic rights packages awarded, international rights up next

The Board of Control for Cricket in India yesterday sold the two main packages of domestic media rights for the Indian Premier League, although has not yet confirmed the winners.

Most media reports at the end of yesterday's (Monday's) bidding concluded that pay broadcaster Viacom18 had secured domestic digital rights, with incumbent IPL rights holder Star India tipped to get the linear television rights.
