Italian government approves five-year ceiling for media rights deals

The Italian government has approved changes to sports broadcast rights legislation that will allow for contracts running up to five years.

Rights deals for Italian sport are currently limited to three years, but this will now change through an amendment to the ‘aiuti quater’ decree following examination by the Senate Budget Committee.
