Pay-television broadcaster Sky Italia has succeeded in securing an early overturn of a ruling that has prevented it from acquiring exclusive internet rights to sports properties for almost three years.
Italy’s antitrust authority, the AGCM, has acceded to Sky’s multiple requests on the matter, the latest of which came in January. The ban was due to run until May 21 but Sky is said to have asked the watchdog to lift the restrictions early.
