UK commercial broadcaster ITV has secured rights to the inaugural World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge, which takes place in London later this year.
ITV will show evening matches on its ITV4 digital terrestrial channel. ITV4’s coverage is set to include five hours of daily live action.
The event will be staged at London’s Copper Box Arena from October 12-16. The Challenge forms part of the Rugby World Cup Festival.
London 2012 Paralympic gold medallists Australia will compete alongside silver medallists Canada and bronze medallists USA. Hosts Great Britain complete the line-up with New Zealand, South Africa, Japan and France.
