The JioTV app, which is owned by Indian mobile network operator Reliance-Jio, has acquired digital rights to the Nidahas Trophy Twenty20 cricket tournament, which got underway yesterday (Tuesday).
The tournament is being contested by Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India and runs until March 18. The competition is taking place in Colombo, Sri Lanka to celebrate the country’s 70 years of independence.
JioTV will work with Sri Lanka Cricket to provide in-depth coverage of the competition. Coverage will include live and repeat broadcasts, as well as highlights packages and catch-up content.
JioTV also covered the recent winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
