Pan-European club ice hockey competition the Kontinental Hockey League has expanded the global reach of its KHL-TV channel through an agreement with new Russian-language satellite television service TeRus.
Terms of the agreement with TeRus were not disclosed, but it will carry KHL-TV in Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Slovakia, Turkey, Croatia and other Balkan countries.
The league said the deal means KHL-TV will now be broadcast in more than 30 countries across the world.
TeRus is operated by Russian telco GeoTelecommunications and backed by Luxembourg-registered company Continental MultiMedia.
