Jan Koeppen has been named president of Europe and Africa for Fox International Channels, the broadcast subsidiary of media company 21st Century Fox.
Koeppen has served as chief operating officer for 21st Century Fox, Europe and Asia since April 2009 and will move into his new role later this month.
Based in London, Koeppen will report to Hernan Lopez, president and chief executive of FIC.
Koeppen said: “FIC’s unrivalled portfolio connects with viewers, advertisers and distributors across the entertainment, sports, factual and lifestyle genres. I look forward to working with Hernan and the incredible team to build on Fox International Channels’ global leadership.”
Koeppen succeeds Jesus Perezagua, who last month announced he would step down from the post on April 30.
Perezagua first joined the company in 2003 as managing director of FIC Spain and Portugal, before assuming his current position in 2011. He will continue to consult for companies in the FIC group after April 30.
