The Kwesé Sports division of African pay-television broadcaster Kwesé TV has acquired rights to national team football events operated by European governing body Uefa.
Kwesé Sports has signed a four-year deal with the body, through which it will air qualifiers for the Uefa Euro 2020 tournament, as well as the event itself.
The agreement covers all sub-Saharan African countries, with the exception of South Africa.
Rights include live matches, delayed matches, highlights, on-demand programming, and localised review programmes.
The agreement also grants Kwesé Sports rights to Uefa’s new Nations League tournament, which will debut in 2018.
Kwesé Sports also holds exclusive free-to-air rights in sub-Saharan Africa to next year’s Fifa World Cup in Russia.
