The Lagardère Sports agency has extended a long-term media rights partnership with the Asian Table Tennis Union.
Lagardère Sports will continue to market the rights to all ATTU events around the world, excluding the host territory, for a further four years, from 2018 to 2021.
The deal covers both the 2019 and 2021 Asian Table Tennis Championships, as well as four editions of the annual Asian Cup and the Asian leg of the Euro-Asia Challenge.
Lagardère Sports will also market rights to the qualification events for the 2020 summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, and the 2018 summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.
As part of the renewed deal, Lagardère Sports will also provide live streaming and clips capabilities for the events.
ATTU honorary general secretary Tony Yue said: “The renewed cooperation with Lagardère Sports will help ATTU embrace the digital revolution. With the use of clips, highlights, news and live streaming, it will greatly complement our offering on television broadcast.”
