Concacaf, the governing body of football in the Caribbean, North America and Central America, has selected Lagardère Sports, the sports marketing division of conglomerate Lagardère, to market the global rights for its Gold Cup national team tournament.
Lagardère Sports will market the body’s media rights for the competition in all international territories.
The agreement covers the 2017 Gold Cup, which will be staged in the US from July 7-26, and the 2019 tournament, the host of which is yet to be announced. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Concacaf selected Lagardère Sports following a competitive bidding process managed by Evolution Media Capital.
Lagardère Sports replaces the IMG agency as Concacaf’s international media-rights distributor.
