Lagardère Sports makes senior appointments at US division

The Lagardère Sports agency has made a number of new appointments within its US business.

Jay Danzi will serve as US chief operating officer, while Marc Riccio has been named executive vice-president, US commercial sales and business development.

Danzi, who previously served as president of Lagardère Sports’ Golf Consulting Division, will now develop new growth opportunities for the agency’s domestic business.

Riccio – who most recently served as president of Rooftop2 Productions, a marketing company acquired by Lagardère Sports last year – will head up a new sales and business development team supporting all of the agency’s US businesses.

Andrew Pierce, president and chief executive, Americas, at Lagardère Sports, said: “Jay has played an integral part in the creation or growth of many of our business since joining the agency, while also being a key part of Golf and Consulting businesses.

“Marc has been a tremendous contributor leading the integration of Rooftop2 into our US business, which has led to significant new business and added creativity and capabilities for all of our clients.”

Lagardère Sports represents various players from a number of leading contests in the US, such as the NFL American football league and Major League Baseball.
