The Learfield Sports agency has agreed a multimedia rights partnership with the University of California, Davis, while the IMG College division of the IMG agency has extended a deal with the University of Akron.
Learfield’s deal represents the first of its kind for the university and will run for 10 years, beginning in the 2017-18 academic year.
The Learfield UC Davis Sport Properties local team will represent and manage all aspects of rights related to the university’s Aggies sports teams. The deal covers rights for television, digital, signage and radio.
Meanwhile, IMG College has renewed its rights deal with Akron by eight years, through to 2028.
IMG College will exclusively represent and manage rights for Akron’s athletics department, including video board features, digital solutions, in-venue signage and game-day promotions.
In addition, IMG College will support Akron with the installation of a new video board at its James A. Rhodes Arena sports facility.
