The Learfield Sports agency has agreed an exclusive multimedia production and distribution rights deal for the University of Illinois’s intercollegiate sports events in the US.
The deal, which also includes marketing rights, will run for 10 years, from 2012 to 2021.
Learfield president and chief executive Greg Brown said: “Our company has handled the distribution of the [in-house university channel] Illini Sports Network for years and to have a broader role is terrific.”
Learfield has similar deals with the Big Ten college sports conference and more than 50 other universities in the US.
