Dutch pay-television broadcaster Sport1 has acquired rights for the Spanish Liga, while pay-television broadcaster Fox has reportedly won the tender in Italy for coverage of the top division of football in Spain.
Sport1’s renewal, which covers television and online platforms, will run for three seasons, from 2015-16 to 2017-18.
The exclusive deal covers up to six games per match day.
According to Italian media reports, Fox outbid rival pay-television broadcaster Mediaset Premium for the rights to the 2015-16 season in Italy with a bid worth €15m ($16.5m). The sales process was managed by the Mediapro agency.
