Global sports update and results provider LiveScore is to launch its first live streaming service, providing coverage of Italy’s Serie A and Portugal’s Primeira Liga to football fans in the UK and Ireland.
Through an agreement with subscription broadcaster Premier Sports that was brokered on behalf of LiveScore by the Saran Media agency, LiveScore will stream all remaining matches from the 2019-20 Serie A season.
LiveScore will also stream a third of all remaining fixtures from the Primeira Liga.
StreamAMG, the live video and OTT services provider, is to facilitate LiveScore’s streaming capability.
LiveScore’s new streaming service will launch today (Wednesday) with the Primeira Liga match between Rio Ave and Benfica at 9:15pm (BST). The service will be integrated into the existing LiveScore iOS and Android app.
Premier Sports will retain its position as the exclusive TV broadcaster for the Serie A and Primeira Liga in the UK and Ireland, showing every match from now until the end of the season.
The Primeira Liga restarted earlier this month, with Serie A set to resume on Saturday when Torino hosts Parma.
LiveScore has a global audience of 56 million monthly active users, including two million in the UK.
