LPGA tees up digital video deal

Digital sports video news agency SendtoNews has agreed a multi-year digital video distribution deal with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), the leading professional tour in women’s golf.

SendtoNews will distribute nightly tournament highlights and other video content through its news partnership network, which comprises television, radio, print and online news outlets throughout the world.

Highlights of game-day content will be packaged and ready for download by news outlets the same night or early the next morning.

The agreement will begin with the LPGA’s 2013 Women’s Australian Open, which takes place from February 14-17.

“Major sports brands are discovering that in the changing media landscape, our cloud-based digital distribution model is a simple yet powerful solution to maximise exposure as well as monetise content across an array of traditional and emerging channels,” Greg Bobolo, SendtoNews’ chief executive, said. “We look forward to working closely with the LPGA to syndicate tournament highlights, pre and post interviews, press conferences, commentary, top shots and more through our news partnership network.”
