Singaporean media company MediaCorp has agreed a rights deal with the Dentsu agency for highlights coverage of the Rio 2016 summer Olympic Games, according to the Straits Times newspaper.
The report said that the deal includes a twice-daily highlights show plus live coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies.
However, the newspaper added that Dentsu is still in talks to strike a live rights deal for coverage of the Games.
Pay-television operators SingTel and StarHub are interested in the live rights, the report added, although MediaCorp would not confirm whether it was interested in adding to its highlights package.
Dentsu has not confirmed any details of the ongoing rights negotiations.
