Spanish commercial broadcaster Mediaset has acquired exclusive free-to-air rights to the Uefa Euro 2020 national team football tournament, along with a package of matches played by overseas national teams.
Mediaset, which has previously covered Euro 2016 and Euro 2012, will extend this association to take in the special edition of the tournament, which will be hosted across 12 different nations, including Spain.
Bilbao’s San Mamés stadium will host Group E matches, alongside the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
Mediaset’s agreement with Uefa, European football’s governing body, also includes a package of 80 matches of foreign national teams, with a preferential choice of games, across the qualifying tournaments for Euro 2020 and the 2022 Fifa World Cup, along with friendly games played during this period in the new Nations League tournament.
