New North American Soccer League franchise Miami FC has claimed a first for the football competition by stating it will be the only club to broadcast all its matches internationally.
In the United States, fans will be able to watch matches from the club’s inaugural 2016 season via pay-television broadcasters beIN Sports, CBS Sports Network, One World Sports and Gol TV.
In the worldwide market, nine different broadcast companies will cover Miami FC matches in over 100 countries. The broadcasters include: pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport, covering 47 countries; beIN Sports, covering 32 countries in Europe, North Africa and Asia; international sports broadcaster Eleven Sports Network covering four countries in Europe and Asia; pay-television broadcaster Charlton in Israel; pay-television broadcaster Digitalb in Albania and media company Mediaset in Italy.
Fox will broadcast Miami FC games in Turkey, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Israel, Italy, and the Netherlands; while pay-television broadcaster Setanta Eurasia will offer coverage in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan; and Eurosport Asia and Australia in Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Brunei, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Papa New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
The deals were brokered through a partnership between Miami FC and the MP & Silva agency. Miami FC commenced its NASL campaign with a 1-1 draw at Fort Lauderdale Strikers on Saturday.
The franchise is co-owned by international media entrepreneur Riccardo Silva and former Italy and AC Milan star Paolo Maldini.
