The Handball-Bundesliga, the sport’s top division in Germany, has said its global broadcast reach will extend to beyond 40 countries in 2015-16 through new rights deals agreed by the MP & Silva agency.
MP & Silva, which holds global distribution rights to the HBL over the four seasons from 2013-14 to 2016-17, has agreed new deals for 2015-16 with pay-television broadcaster Digi Sport in Hungary and Best4Sport.TV in Latvia.
International pay-television operator Eleven Sports Network has also acquired rights in Belgium, Malaysia and Singapore.
MP & Silva’s distribution contract excludes the markets of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and the Alto Adige region of Italy.
