MP & Silva to distribute Asian Games rights

The MP & Silva agency agreed a deal with the Olympic Council of Asia to distribute the global media rights for the 2014 Asian Games and other events organised by the council.

The agency said it would work closely with the OCA’s official marketing partner, advertising agency Dentsu, on distributing the rights.

“In our capacity as partner we will also act as media adviser in order to guarantee the highest level of production guidelines and innovation – including digital strategy and on social media portals,” MP & Silva chief executive Andrea Radrizzani said.

The other events covered by the deal include the 2012 Haiyang Asian Beach Games, the 2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games, the 2013 Asian Youth Games, the 2013 Asian Unity Games and the 2014 Phuket Asian Beach Games as well as the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon.

Television coverage of the most recent edition of the Asian Games, in Guangzhou, China in 2010, reached 850 million homes in China alone.
