Modern Times Group, the multi-territory commercial and pay-television broadcaster, has agreed a new multi-year carriage deal with Norwegian telecommunications company Telenor.
MTG’s free-to-air channels will be made available on Telenor’s various cable, satellite and IPTV platforms across Sweden and Norway, as well as its satellite service in Denmark.
MTG, which has rights to football's English Premier League and the Euroleague Basketball competition in the Nordic region, will also make more of its premium sports pay-television channels available to Telenor’s cable and IPTV subscribers in Sweden. Customers in the country will also gain access to MTG’s Viaplay video-on-demand service.
In addition, from July, subscribers to Telenor’s satellite-television service in Finland will have access to MTG’s premium sports channels for the first time.
