Nashville SC re-signs local TV partners

Major League Soccer’s Nashville SC has re-signed Fox 17, CW58, and MyTV30 as its official local broadcast partners, starting with the indefinitely-suspended 2020 season.

The partnership kicks off on May 9, when Fox 17 Nashville will re-air Nashville SC’s MLS debut against Atlanta United at Nissan Stadium on February 29, which secured a crowd of almost 60,000.

“We are thrilled to carry on our strong partnership with Nashville SC and embrace the new Major League Soccer opportunities in the Nashville market for the coming years,” said Noreen Parker, the vice president and general manager of Fox 17, CW58, and MyTV30.

The Sinclair Broadcast Group-owned channels aired Nashville SC games in the United Soccer League Championship in 2019. The length and terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Nashville SC played just two games in its inaugural MLS season earlier this year before the entire league campaign was indefinitely suspended by the Covid-19 pandemic.
