FloSports signs EA Ligue 1 rights deal in North America

OTT streaming service FloSports has acquired rights in the US and Canada to new pre-season football tournament the EA Ligue 1 Games.

FloSports will provide live and on-demand coverage of the tournament’s four matches, which see French Ligue 1 clubs Olympique de Marseille, Girondins de Bordeaux, Montpellier and Saint-Etienne travel to compete in the US.

The inaugural tournament takes place at Audi Field, home of Major League Soccer team D.C. United, from July 18-21.

Earlier this month, pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports acquired rights to the tournament in France and a number of other territories.
