Regional sports network NBC Sports Philadelphia is expanding its alternative sports betting-focused broadcasts for Philadelphia 76ers games with a 10-game slate during the 2019-20 season.
The initiative begins on November 20 for the 76ers’ game against the New York Knicks at 7pm on NBC Sports Philadelphia+. New, enhanced on-screen graphics focused on real time sports betting data will be integrated in the program, complementing the hosts’ commentary and analysis.
Last season, NBC Sports Philadelphia produced two betting-infused broadcasts, one during the regular season and one play-off game.
“These broadcasts are a fun way for fans to be more engaged with our games,” said Shawn Oleksiak, NBC Sports Philadelphia’s vice president of live events. “From the casual sports bettor, to those just learning the basics, these game broadcasts will entertain as well as inform those interested in sports betting.”
In a similar move, NBC Sports Washington has expanded its betting-infused broadcasts of Washington Wizards games this season to a 20-game schedule.
