The NBC Sports division of US media group NBCUniversal has agreed arights deal with the United States Olympic Committee national governing body to broadcast the 2014 US Olympic speedskating team trials.
The trials will be broadcast on both cable and network television for the first time in their history – with 13 hours of coverage due to be spread across NBC’s main network and cable-television channel NBC Sports Network.
The US Olympic Team Trials for long-track speed skating will be held from December 27, 2013 until January 1, 2014, and will be followed by the short track trials that take place from January 2-5.
Dates of the full 2014 trials will be announced at a later date.
