US media group NBCUniversal has announced it plans to close its dedicated Olympic Channel on September 30.

The linear channel launched in 2017 after the International Olympic Committee, United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and NBCU unveiled a comprehensive Olympic Channel content and distribution partnership in the US market. The USOC became a minority shareholder in the US channel.
