Günter Netzer, a founding member of Infront Sports & Media, has announced his retirement as an executive director of the agency.
Netzer, who has also served as a member of Infront’s board and group management committee, will relinquish all responsibilities at the agency.
Philippe Blatter, the president and chief executive of Infront, announced Netzer’s “well-deserved” retirement following his “contributions, collaboration and insight over the years… in the world of sport and especially football.”
Prior to his business career, Netzer was a legend of German football with the 72-year-old winning 37 caps for West Germany.
